Mountainside Rustic Wedding at the Homestead on McVey in Victor, Montana

Jenny and Ryan’s connection is evident in the way that they both serve each other, love the Lord, and compliment each other perfectly. They met through a Christian dating app back in 2021. Their first date was at a hockey game here in Missoula, and let’s just say more was flying in the air that night than hockey pucks. Both counted down the days until they saw each other again. Ryan was living in Lincoln, Montana at the time and would come to see Jenny on the weekends. For the sake of milage, gas prices and time, Ryan decided to move to Missoula to be closer to Jenny.

In November 2022, Ryan asked Jenny to spend the rest of her life with him on a long snowy hike by Lake Como. She said yes and the two of them decided to get married in the arguably most beautiful time of year in Montana, June.

What better place to get married than the stunning venue: Homestead on McVey. The simply elegant white barn and Bitterroot Mountains set the stage for the start of this gorgeous wedding day. On the drive over from Missoula, it was nonstop raining. However in Victor that day, it never rained but was the prettiest of days. What a miracle!

The day began as Jenny and her bridesmaids got ready in the cute bridal cottage. Ryan and his buddies spent the afternoon enjoying sunshine and playing cornhole. Once the couple was ready, they had a private and sweet first look. I love first looks because it’s so special having one on one time before the crazy fun of a wedding day starts.

The ceremony took place outside the barn with a view of the Bitterroot Mountains. Jenny’s pastor (and actually my pastor too), Tyler Velin, did a wonderful job at portraying the meaning of marriage and their new commitment to each other and to God.

After the ceremony, the two were celebrated at their outdoor reception. The food was phenomenal, the views were gorgeous and dancing was unmatched.

Congratulations Jenny and Ryan! It was a pleasure being able to capture your amazing wedding day. May God bless your marriage in the many, many years to come.
