Kara + Tom
A Wild Flower Summertime Mountain Barn Wedding in Missoula, MT
JUNE 24TH 2023
When I think of Kara and Tom, I think of sunshine, smiles and easygoing spirits. They are both the most kind people and were lucky enough to have amazing sunsets every time I’ve photographed them.
These two love birds met online back in 2017 while both living in Boise, ID. They dated for a few years before deciding to move back to where Kara is from originally, Montana. Tom asked Kara to marry him in the sweet summertime of 2021 on a bike up the Rattlesnake Trail. He waited for a perfect spot with gorgeous scenery and got down on one knee.
On the morning of June 24th, the air was crisp as the final touches to the decorations at The Barn on Mullan took place. Kara was peacefully getting ready with friends surrounding her. As the sun got higher in the sky and the couple finished prepping, their first look took place. Nothing beats Tom’s joyful reaction to seeing his beautiful bride.
That afternoon, the two of them got married with stunning views of a wide open sky, mountains and the spot they got engaged behind them. They were accompanied by 45 of their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, the couple had a lovely dinner and reception. The newlyweds ended the night dancing with friends, eating s’mores by the fire and cheers-ing to their new marriage.
Thank you, Tom and Kara for having me be such a big part of your wedding day. I hope nothing but joy and many more goregous sunsets in your future together. Congratulations!
