A Romantic Pastel Summer Wedding at The Barn on Mullan in Missoula, MT

What a breathtaking and remarkable day, even through the most uncertain turn of event!. During the week leading up to Alex and Maddi’s Wedding Day, Missoula had an unfortunate storm. However, these two were still able to have a beautiful wedding day. Nothing could stop A & M becoming one!

Some are calling this storm the 100 Year Storm and I’ve even heard it referred to as the Missoula Hurricane. This once-in-a-lifetime thunder storm took place on the evening of Wednesday, July 24. They recorded winds as fast as 100 miles per hour in Missoula. This led to massive destruction of fallen trees on cars, homes and power lines. Half of the Missoula area was without power and running water (about 35,000 people).

However, Alex and Maddison made the MOST of their circumstance. They still got married at the Barn on Mullan and even had the weather on their side. It was a stunning, cool summer’s day in Missoula. HOW AMAZING is that?! The venue was one of the many locations in town that was still without power. Maddison and her bridesmaids got ready at the venue with the power from generators and extension cords. There were other genius modifications that made this wedding day work, such as the catering team cooking off site for dinner. Also, The DJ, Ryan Bradshaw, used his personal generator to make sure the party went on. I LOVE that when you choose the best vendors, they make sure to be there for their couples NO MATTER WHAT!

Alex and Maddi’s love was displayed best during their first dance. I knew Maddi was a former cheerleader, but no one told me they could move like that. It was A SIGHT!! Seeing how everyone around them celebrated them so well was another highlight of the day. From the tear-jerking daddy daughter first look, to the best man speech, to all the AMAZING DANCING, everyone there was so excited to celebrate this wonderful couple. It was a joy to be a part of!!
