A Captivating Nostalgic Fall Engagement Session in Missoula, Montana

Tyler and Sarah are so inviting, naturally super photogenic, and the kind of couple that instantly makes you smile. They flew in all the way from Chicago just for their engagement session here in Montana, which made the evening feel that much more special. The first location we chose was full of peak fall foliage, the colors glowing gold around them. Tyler has this bright, outgoing personality, while Sarah brings a calm balance that you can feel just by being around them. Together, you can tell they simply love being together.

Their second location overlooked Missoula, letting the mountains fade into the sky behind them. The views were breathtaking and gave such a sense of what makes Montana feel expansive and grounding all at once. The look of their photos turned out timeless, and fine art inspired, thanks to the film I took. The kind of images that feel like they could live in an heirloom album for decades. These two love traveling and exploring together, and the way they moved through the evening felt like they were just on another adventure. They laughed easily, leaned into every moment, and trusted the process fully. It made photographing them feel joyful.

Tyler and Sarah are getting married next September at Foster Creek Farm in Bozeman, and I already know their wedding day is going to be something really special. I can already picture the soft Montana late summer light and the people they love all around them. I truly can’t wait to capture more of their story. They are a fun loving couple who are so enjoyable to be around, and I feel lucky to be a part of their journey.
